Chenae Bullock, LPIM, is an enrolled citizen of the Shinnecock Nation the first contact tribe of Long Island and a living descendant of the Montauk people. She is an Indigenous leader, water protector, cultural preservationist, and founder & CEO of Moskehtu Consulting, an Indigenous-led sustainability and cultural strategy firm advancing regenerative leadership across business, government, and philanthropy.Deeply rooted in ancestral practice, Chenae has led the resurgence of traditional northeastern Algonquin canoe culture. Following in the footsteps of her whaling ancestors, she has organized and guided sacred paddles through historic waterways from Shinnecock to Mashantucket Pequot, across the Long Island Sound, and most notably from Boston to New York City reclaiming Indigenous presence along ancestral trade and migration routes.

Chenae has earned national recognition for her work at the intersection of Indigenous knowledge, environmental stewardship, and enterprise. She has been featured, written, or spoken on platforms including in Forbes, Rolling Stones, TEDx, SXSW, Tribal Business News, Bloomberg, Conde Nast Traveler Indian Country Today, Yahoo Finance. Her voice is sought after for its ability to bridge ancestral wisdom with modern systems change.

A seasoned executive and strategist, Chenae has managed startup operations exceeding $18 million, leading a $6.7 million retail build-out, overseeing regulatory compliance, government relations, legal coordination, funding strategy, and operational launch. Her leadership demonstrates that Indigenous women can operate at the highest levels of business while remaining grounded in cultural values.

Deeply rooted in ancestral practice, Chenae has led the resurgence of traditional northeastern Algonquin canoe culture. As a licensed Indigenopathic practitioner, she integrates traditional plant medicine and Indigenous wellness frameworks into her sustainability work. She has authored numerous articles on environmental stewardship and Indigenous cultural intelligence and leads water and tobacco ceremonies throughout New York City, advocating for ocean health amid the crisis of whale beachings along Long Island’s shores. She also serves on the Indigenous Advisory Council for the Shinnecock Bay Hope Spot, contributing to coordinated restoration efforts for one of the region’s most ecologically significant waterways.

Through every role as executive, ceremonial leader, strategist, and advocate Chenae’s mission remains clear: to restore Indigenous visibility, embed cultural intelligence into institutional systems, and build a future where environmental stewardship, economic advancement, and ancestral knowledge move forward together.
